About Paimaun

Paimaun Zakikhani prides himself on providing personalised, tailored care.  Mr. Paimaun Zakikhani, is a highly skilled consultant who has built a reputation for his exceptional surgical skills and commitment to his patients’ well-being. Paimaun  was educated at King Edward VI Grammar School, Birmingham and studied medicine in Marischall College, University of Aberdeen.  His dedication and commitment to surgery were recognized when he was awarded the Jamieson Medal for his outstanding achievements in anatomy.

 

Paimaun embarked on his urology training along the East coast of Scotland, after a firm grounding in Wellington, New Zealand.  He gained invaluable experience working in major centres and academic institutions such as Edinburgh and Aberdeen. During this time, he honed his skills in keyhole surgery for cancer, female incontinence and complex stone work.

 

Paimaun undertook an intense 15-month fellowship in one of the busiest prostatectomy, nephrectomy and stone centres, internationally in  Sydney, Australalia from 2012- 2014.  He excelled in prostate cancer diagnostics and currently prefers fusion software biopsy but has helped the local Trust to perform LATP biopsies in the outpatient setting.

 

It was during his time in Sydney, Australia, that Mr. Zakikhani began performing Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and Urolift, techniques renowned for their effectiveness in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). 

His patients appreciate his personalized approach, as he takes the time to listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and create tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.

 

Paimaun is married to a local GP and they have 3 school aged children together.  In his spare time Paimaun is a keen runner having trained for local marathons.
